Yangshuo

Yangshuo – A place I’d never heard of but the only place in China that I wished I’d had spent more time in! In fact I think G Adventures have now changed the 3 day Yangtze river cruise into a day trip and more days in Yangshuo (Have to check on that). With activities ranging from Bamboo rafting down the Li River to Rock climbing this small town seemed to have more activities to get involved in than any of the other places in we visited in China. We had 3 days in total in Yangshuo and had to choose from a range of activities, I chose rafting on the Li and Yulong river, Cycling up to moon hill, rock climbing and a light show. We also had the option of Tai Chi next to the river and cormorant fishing which i just didnt have the time to do.

Our bike trip and hike up Moon Hill

Bamboo rafting along the Li and Yulong Rivers (prepare yourself for a water fight).

Stopping off at Jiuxian Ancient Village along the river.

Tai Chi and rock climbing. Be careful with the rock climbing, I was pretty fit at the time and for 2 days after I felt like I had been hit by a train!!

Yangshuo at it’s finest.
